There are four different methods to solve the system of equations. And they are: substitution method, graphing method, method of matrices, and elimination.

Substitution involves 5 steps where you solve for x and y. Once you have the answer for x you solve for y. Elimination also involves 5 steps. You have to add the equations together to eliminate one of them in order to solve for the other one. Matric is a shortcut to the elimination process and has only four steps to solving the equation.Graphing is the easiest form if you have a graphing calculator. If you do the problem by hand, it is more complex than the other forms.
