The Celtic culture is greatly underestimated for its influence on Europe as a whole.  This is because not much is known about the people or tribal communities we associate as being Celtic.  Another group of influential people were those of the Carolingian culture, who helped shape Europe into the unified nation we see today

 1. Who were the Celts?  Where did they live?  During what historical time did they live?  What was their religion?  Did they trade goods?  Roman thoughts about the Celts?

 2. Who was Charlemagne?  What was the Carolingian Renaissance? How did the Carolingian Empire reform Europe?

3. If not for Charlemagne’s leadership what would have happened to Europe? What great force was he fighting?
