each product?

My three products are all durable consumer products:

Acer 17 inch Laptop - this product is my connection to the outside world when I'm home.  It's where I communicate through my email address with friends and family. It's where I go to process my homework and participate online (like I'm doing now). It's also where I store many of my cherished pictures and short family videos.  I also listen to my favorite talk radio stations while I do homework (instead of having the TV on).

Motorola Cell Phone - this is my voicemail, and texting connection to my family and friends.  I can also check my email which is handy because I don't have to lug my 17 inch laptop around. I don't have a home landphone, so my cell phone *is* my home phone and I take it with me everywhere.

Lexmark all-in-one Wi-Fi - this piece of equipment is extremely important with printing, scanning, faxing (which isn't done much) and it also prints out color photo prints.  WiFi makes it very convenient as far as where I can place the equipment in my home.  It doesn't have to be near an outlet.

I use the laptop and cell phone daily and I use the Lexmark many times per week.  I don't know what I'd do without these three pieces of equipment.

My obsession is electronics and books, electronics are fairly expensive but I got myself the new BlackBerry Bold, about three months ago I bought plantronics 480 headphones and book; Grown up Digital: How the Net Generation is Changing Your World HC by Don Tapscort.

The BlackBerry Bold 9000 is sleeker that the curve one because it is eqquipped with quad-band GSM, tri-band 3G connectivity it also has Wi-Fi networking, the screen is slightly wide for easy reading than the BlackBerry pearl. It has most features of the camera mesaging etc but the tri-band and quad-band GSM were my attraction.

The Plantronics 480 head I read about them first in the observer magazine of the Observer Newspaper. They're as were discribed, sleek not as the common long windy cables. The microphone is thin with a swistable cord whichever is convinient. It the right portable headphones I have ever seen. They come in a case that fits in a palm and comfortably, the case is small enough to fit into jacket pocket. The sound clear but has to fidgit with the earpieces most times.

Grown up Digital is a book us who are sourrounded by all these digital gadgets and how they are affecting our way of life. Anything digtal as I mentioned attracts me. Grown up Digital reveals what the new generation that are about 35 years now are experiencing and how their lives changed and are changing with the digital age. The social impact and productivity of this generation is simply unparalled.

The three products I chose are a curling iron, computer and trash bags.

The curling iron would be considered a durable product because it is long lasting and is used over and over. Most curling irons are made to last for months and some even for years. My Dell computer is more of a shopping product. I took about a month to decide what computer I was going to purchase before deciding on Dell. I knew I needed a reliable computer that would not let me down while I am in school. There were many features I had to decide on not just the computer itself. Trash bags are convenience products. Most of us don't really think about purchasing trash bags because it is something we need and use every day.

Computer - I use my computer daily for all my needs; bills, communication with family, news, entertainment (pictures, video), and most importantly, for school. I am not a computer geek, but with good maintenance and the right upgrades, my computer will last me a while with very little maintenance and replacements. This is a durable product.

Cake mix - I can buy 10 boxes of cake mix at a time because I never know when I'm going to need to bake a cake. I try to stop, but nothing works. I just have to have many different flavors of cake mix available all the time. I agree with my husband, this is definitely an impulsive purchase (convenience product). The up-side of it is that I make sure I bake them and give them as pastry or desert gifts to friends and family.

Cricut - I bought a Cricut because I love scrapbooks and craft. I spent $400.00 for this machine with a starter kit and realize that I have to buy more supplies to make all the cards and scrapbooks I want. I love this new item, but I can see that I will be spending a lot more money down the road if I want to keep using it. This is a specialty product.
