?         How has the structure of today’s organization changed from the organization of the past? What is the most significant event in the evolution of organizational structure? Defend your response.

According to Carl Rogers, the organization's base rests on management's philosophy, values, vision and goals. This in turn drives the organizational culture which is composed of the formal organization, informal organization, and the social environment. The culture determines the type of leadership, communication, and group dynamics within the organization. The workers perceive this as the quality of work life which directs their degree of motivation. The final outcome is performance, individual satisfaction, and personal growth and development. All these elements combine to build the model or framework that the organization operates from.

Some of the evolutions I have seen in the structure of organizations include manufacturing and employee’s behavior changes in terms of communication issues, etc. as we all know manufacturing encourages employees to share questions, suggestions, complaints or organizational main recommendations of the division. To restructure the company management needs to have a full understanding of the main leaders in management and what they do they need to structure their efforts in a new communication model with layouts, written processes, etc. that help these people in organizational management metric procedures for reporting.

Some of the most significant evolutions I have seen from my experience are the lack of communication bringing conflict with managers, employees, etc. Other structural change is when employees resist changing by technology, processes, etc. Companies are cutting expenses, fussing one position with another, firing people, multitasking to cut on resources, employee number, etc. When team members don’t trust each other or are suspicious of each others motives, the end result is a team that is not cohesive in its approach. Ineffective Interaction and Unproductive Team Meetings; all the complexities of team dynamics come to the fore at the meeting. The meeting is one of the most critical aspects of the team process with strategies and innovative solutions to problems emerging during this time. Employee lack of motivation can be due to poor role clarity which is a must in a team situation. When roles are not clearly defined, this can lead to conflict and confusion on tasks.  If you lose focus of business  andyou don't know where you are heading, how can you get there.  At times a team fails because the goals are unclear to the team members.  The last change I have seen is poortime management; a team should plan its goals and activities whilst keeping time constraints and deadlines in mind, otherwise their efficiency level in managing and implementing a task can suffer. I remember when my mother used to work and I was a little girl she was not complaining about all these issues, those times were different, there was more respect for work and supervisors. Now if you don’t like a supervisor either you quit, you sue, you tell in his face. Times are tough and one needs to respect the hand that gives you food. Those are the things I have seen in organization structure.
