Although many people may not realize it research is a major part of day to day life. At work I research various accounts and transactions for our members of the credit union. Sometimes people need me to pull up their credit card statements to track a specific transaction. This can sometimes take a bit of time if they do not know exactly what they are looking for. At home I research various bargains at our local stores by going through any sale ads that I may receive in the mail or newspaper. Once in a while I will take the time to research additional savings by looking up any online coupons that I may be able to use. Another thing that I tend to research quite often is nutrition labels. I try to be health smart so I always look at food labels and compare products according to the nutritional facts.
Since I'm in control of our household budget I use research skills on a daily basis to track and balance our budget account. I organize our bills by date so that I know when they're due. Once I pay a bill I will look up the payment on our online bank statement to make sure that it was for the correct amount. I also keep track of our grocery bills, which I have to calculate into our budget plan. I would say that tending to the budget is my most significant example of daily research. If I don't keep track of it on a daily basis it would be a disaster!
