Solution Description

Food Safety

Ensuring the proper diet and nutrition for a child's health and welfare requires that certain precautions be taken. The areas of food sanitation, food storage, food preparation and presentation are all areas that must be done with safety precautions in place to ensure children are eating healthy and wise. It is true that all individuals need to be careful when it comes to the food that they eat. However, regarding children between the ages of three to five years old, there are additional factors that must be taken into considerations. First, the fact that children at this age depend on their parents to make the best choices regarding what food to eat for their growing bodies. Second, the process of handling, preparing, and storage of the food is vital in maintaining sanitary conditions.
