Using the Internet, research English Language Learner (E.L.L.) standards. It is highly recommended you search for standards in your own state. However, some states have not adopted E.L.L. standards, or you may live outside the United States, so you may choose to research any state that does have E.L.L. standards (California or Texas, for example). Using the information in Chapter 8 of your text as well as outside reading, provide at least three critical thinking tasks that would reach advanced levels of E.L.L. proficiency. Our goal is to move beyond the basic levels of English language learning that require mere identification or recall. Refer to Bloom’s Taxonomy(http://krummefamily.org/guides/bloom.html) to develop your activities.
