Pakulski (2011) cites Howard Gardner (1983) as saying “there is no one best way to educate all children. We must discover a child’s areas of strengths and characteristic approaches to learning. We must, as much as possible, bring the teaching to where the child is” (pg.4).
One factor that decides which practices are the most vital is the ways that students learn. Many practitioners like to understand students’ styles by using different “learning modalities, learning styles, or multiple intelligences [tests]” (Hutinger, 2001)
