Let’s consider the following systems of two linear equations in two variables.

1) y - 3x = 0

4x+ 6y = 3

The solution set of all these systems consists of all ordered pairs those make both equations (in a system) true. If a system of equations has at least one solution, it is called consistent. If the system has no solutions, it is inconsistent.
