The table provides technical as well as general information about the four relational database management systems namely MS Access, MySQL, DB2 and Oracle. Comparisons of the features of each have been made on the basis of the stable versions of the DBMSs.
Two of the relational database management systems i.e. MySQL and Oracle are maintained by Oracle Corporation, which is the biggest ERP developer in the United States; while MS Access is a proprietary product of Microsoft and DB2 is a product from IBM. All of them have proprietary licenses except MySQL, which has both proprietary as well as GPL License available.
