I chose a innuendo example as my rhetorical device for this discussion question and It is as follows: "Ladies and gentlemen, I am proof that there is at least one candidate in this race who does not have a drinking problem."The reason I have chosen this example is because it sparked interest to my-self. I always see people being interviewed about something on TV and when answering a question they beat around the bush in this innuendo way, While still getting their point across. The way the response is listed above it shows that he or she does not have a drinking problem and it does not necessarily mean that an opponent does. When you read it, it makes you feel like one of the opponents has a drinking problem. So in other words it is a way of saying that one of or more of the opponents has a drinking problem without actually accusing someone. I believe this is a good example to be able to understand an innuendo more clearly.
