Conventional forms of rehabilitation were very few, if any compared to today’s rehabilitation programs. Prior rehabilitation programs that were offered had to do with an inmate obtaining their G.E.D., this would enable the offender once they were released to find employment. Twenty years ago a G.E.D. was more important to employers than it is today. Now employers want work experience and college degrees. With the changes the prison and jail systems have tried to keep up with the change and have offered higher learning classes and skill trades for inmates or offenders...
