As an accountant, I would take the following steps to ensure that the audience will have the appropriate amount of information: • Know my audience. • Know the purpose of the communiqué to achieve the communication goal. • Determine how much information the audience knows or does not know. • Determine the items of information the message will contain. • Give each item the emphasis it deserves.
