? Post your response to the following: In what circumstances would each approach to stakeholder impact analysis (moral standards, 5-question, and Pastin’s approach) be most useful? Generalize about the approaches and describe when each would be most or least useful.


I feel that the approach that I would use would be the 5 question approach. However, I feel that I would also use the moral and Pastin approach to make sure that I did not forget anything. I would want to make sure that the entire questions are answered. I believe by using all three methods which help to ensure ethical decisions are properly made. It is important to consider everyone involved and whether it is legal.

The 5-question approach focuses on profit, legality, what is right and fair. If there is a decision that is needed to be made in house without external issues then the 5-question approach is most useful. If there is a decision that needs to be made based on net benefits rather than profit then the moral standards approach is useful. The moral standards approach works good for thinking of those in the public perspective. Taking in a company's rules and values and what is greatest for the net good for everyone involved, Pastin's approach is the best used. Pastin's approach follows the basic rule of "so unto others..."
