The 21st Century U.S. Workforce is changing.  We now have four generations in the workforce but in the next few years there will be five generations working side-by-side.   The five generations are:

  • The Traditionalist/Silent Generation/Veterans (born 1925 through 1942)
  • The Baby Boomers (born between 1943 through 1964 +/-)
  • Generation X (born 1965 through 1979 +/-) and
  • Generation Y now known as Millennial (born 1980 to 2000 +/-)
  • Generation Z or the IGen (born 2001 +/- to 2013+)  (soon to be entering the workforce)

Provide insight into our multi-generational workforce.  How has it affected you or someone you know in the workplace?
Provide concise academic information along with your observations and if possible examples from your workplace.
If you find any interesting articles from an accredited source please share with your classmates.
