Use the following scenario as the basis of discussion for your paper:

You have been informed that the company you work for will undergo a company-wide downsizing. Your department was affected by the downsizing and will be merging with another department. You have been requested to oversee the merge and serve as a manager for the new department.

 

Take the “What’s My Preferred Conflict Handling Style?” assessment in the Pearson-Prentice Hall Self-Assessment Library.

 

  • Click Assessments.

Create a plan to present to the Board of Directors for approval on how to manage any interpersonal challenges that may arise.

Address the following in your presentation:

  • Identify at least two conflict management skills that you think would be appropriate for your selected issues or barriers and explain why they would be effective.
