Critical paper directions: Not merely expressing your opinion but writing in a manner that's analytically rigorous, conceptually precise, and succinct in exposition. Paper should contain a)a very brief introduction to the topic of discussion that forecasts b. b) a single succinct, direct argument pertaining to the topic, and c) a conclusion reiterating I) what b proved and ii) why I matters to the topic discussed. Critical papers will be nearly entirely graded on b.
