Description

1.The Formal Analysis: Directions and Outline:Assigned artist is Rembrandt

I. Written Form Analysis Directions:
1. Using the below as a guide, you are to complete a Written Formal Analysis of Your Own (FAYO) based on the series of five (5) Formal Analysis Exercises just completed.

2.You may NOT use the same colored reproduction but should use the same artist to be able to reuse the bibliographic information or colorplate of the art object that had been selected and used for the Formal Analysis Exercises #3 through #5. You must use another art object of your choice from either the course textbook or another source.  Also, consider the Internet as a resource. The instructor will seek out your chosen work of art to compare your written analysis against the picture. If you use the Internet as a reference for the picture please provide a web address.

3.Expect to use more than several text and pictorial sources to satisfactorily develop and complete this assignment. For example, one source may contain the actual and large as possible colored image of the selected art object, another would be to get sufficient biographical information concerning the artist, one or more would be used to develop an overview of the culture and time period as it impacts on the art object itself.

4.The FAYO must be completed in the following format ONLY! If the format is not followed explicitly, your FA will be returned ungraded with a request to resubmit it in the below format:

a. The FAYO must be between 8 to 10 pages, NOT including its Title Page and List of Cited Works (its Bibliography).
b.It must have a title placed on its front with the following information word processed as seen below:

ARTS103OL
Art Appreciation
FORMAL ANALYSIS
Your Name Here

c.The FAYO 's Title Page must have the following information placed in a pleasing balance on it as seen below:

FORMAL ANALYSIS of The Name or Title of the Art Object (in Italics only)
by
The Name of the Artist/s

for ARTS103OL Art Appreciation Instructor: Wanda Chudzinski
by Your Name Here

d. The FAYO must have as a List of Cited Works a single page at the end which list in alphabetical order the books, etc. used to develop and complete this assignment either in the  the MLA (Modern Language Association) format. Examples of standard MLA formats for crediting publications can be seen above.

e.The FAYO must use an MLA referencing style that includes citing the referenced works in the context of the paper and a bibliography at the end. Again, examples of standard MLA formats for crediting publications can be seen above.

f. Read the results of your hard efforts doing the FAYO before sending it to see if your ideas are presented clearly and logically, and, please, correct grammar and spelling as needed.

II. Written Formal Analysis Outline:
